LINGVO-STYLISTIC PECULIARITIES OF WINSTON CHURCHILL’S POLITICAL SPEECHES

Abstract
The article touches upon the results of lingvo-stylistic analysis of Winston Churchill’s speeches on the basis of previous studies of speech genre in general, and English-speaking political speeches – in particular. During the analysis’s process three linguistic levels were investigated – lexical, syntactic and phonetic. The role of elements of each level is emphasized in reaching the pragmatic intention of the speaker.
