PECULIARITIES OF RECURRENT DEPRESSIVE DISORDER, DEPENDING ON THE AGE OF ONSET OF THE FIRST EPISODE

Abstract
we made a comprehensive examination of 96 patients aged 20 to 65 years diagnosed according to ICD-10: recurrent depressive disorder (F33). Methodsincluded retrospective study of patient's history, clinical psychiatric research, evaluation of patients by depression scale MADRS, assessment of quality of life using the SF-36 questionnaire, and Hamilton depression scale to assess anxiety (HAM-A). Each patient took a set of surveys twice - during two consecutive depressive episodes. The obtained data testify that the severity of episodes of recurrent depressive disorder, and the frequency of their occurrence higher, than younger the patient at the beginning of the first episode. The level of associated anxiety other way round tends to increase with age.
