SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF UKRAINIAN UNIVERSITIES: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS AND MAIN DIRECTIONS OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
The paper encapsulates essence of social responsibility of university, which is responsible serve as producer of high-quality educational services, exemplary employer, active participant of social relations in society and local community, honest participant of economic and political relations with state and business partner. The study explores basic directions of social responsible of universities activities in Ukraine and in western countries. A comparative assessment is conducted as to distribution of social responsibility in national university activities. A stakeholder map is suggested for modern university that would help educational institutions to direct their activities for satisfaction their key interests. The paper specifies priority areas of social responsibility education.
